About Us_
Our mission is to provide affordable and accessible recreational and competitive rowing programs for youth and adults. We are an all-volunteer administrative staff who means to promote the sport, foster teamwork, encourage physical activity, and healthy lifestyle.

In 2009, North Carolina Community Sailing and Rowing (NCCSR) brought the sport of crew/rowing to Lake Norman. In November 2013, NCCSR Board of Directors transferred Youth, Competitive, and sweep rowing to North Charlotte Rowing (NCR). Between Winter 2013 and Spring 2014, NCR operated out of the Lake Norman YMCA waterfront.

Starting in May 2014, NCR signed a lease on a home in Belmont at an old mill property on the Catawba River. We are located on the Catawba River in Belmont, NC. The site is an old mill property offering BRC exclusive access and use of the shoreline and river, grounds for boat storage, and warehouse space in the old mill where we repair boats and use ergs for training. It is about 5-10 minutes from the Wilkinson Boulevard exit on I-485 and approximately 25 minutes from uptown Charlotte.

In September 2014, NCR began doing business as Belmont Rowing Center (BRC).
